The Capstone Fund, a sub-committee of the Rotary Club of Whitby, provides small-interest loans, typically under $2,500 CAD, to entrepreneurs and community members with innovative business ideas. By offering accessible funding, the fund helps new or part-time entrepreneurs overcome the financial barriers that typically stop them from being able to launch their business ideas. Funded entrepreneurs also receive mentorship through a Strategic Advisor from the Rotary Club, who provides guidance and industry insights. This hands-on support helps businesses navigate challenges, refine their strategies, and build a strong foundation for long-term success.

Established in 1933, the Rotary Club of Whitby has dedicated nine decades to community service and development. From its inaugural meeting at the Royal Hotel on Brock Street North, the club has initiated numerous projects, including the transformation of Town Park into Rotary Centennial Park. Through various fundraisers like the annual Food Truck Frenzy and golf tournaments, the club supports local and international initiatives focused on health, education, and social welfare. Guided by Rotary's 4-Way Test, members continue to foster fellowship and strive to enhance the well-being of the Whitby community.
